A stretcher, provides safe and efficient transporting casualties or people who cannot move on their own. It is customary to carry the stretcher by two people while the wounded person is lying inside. Beyond military stretchers, today an orthopedic stretcher is used to lift casualties without shaking them. These stretchers can be split into two parts which are inserted into the area below the injured person’s back when he is on the ground. These parts reconnect after insertion.
